The Rounded Pink Bridge

1.) Describe your solution.

Our solution was to try different methods with the paper until we found the one that balanced and stayed up. We tried everything, until I had the brilliant idea of using one straight line on the bottom and another extra thick line of paper under it for support as well for the top. And on the sides its just to ovals that are perfectly balanced on each side to give support to the straight lines of the bridge.

2.) What different solutions did you try? Well we really didn't get to capture a picture of the other processes we did. But what we did is we just put the paper together and made a really long line to make it look like a really long bridge and then we tried putting the blocks at each end but they wouldn't manage to stay and it touched the floor.

3.) What was your best overall score? I would say the best overall score would be the last re make of the bridge because it has more balance and in a way is more stable and durable then the other bridges that were constructed.

4.) How did testing improve your design? The testing helped improve our design by making it more balanced and stable it also made it look nicer and reliable to be able to put anything on it and still be stable.

5.) Why do you think brainstorming is helpful when solving a problem? I think brainstorming is helpful when solving a problem because it helps us have some ideas of how the model is going to be created and if is not good enough go back and add more adjustments to make it even better.

6.) With respect to designing the solution of a problem, what are some important characteristics of a successful team? I believe some characteristics of a successful team would be effort, collaboration and communication.
