INTRODUCING THE MICRO:BIT

Updated: Apr 1, 2019

The Micro:bit is an open source hardware ARM-based embedded system designed by the BBC for use in computer education in the UK.

Experiments

Some of the experiments that we did in class using the micro:bit was we first got a work sheet and did different activities in Makecode and we had to get 6 activities in order to get full credit for participation. Also we did the activity were we had to make the colored bulbs turn all together and after that measure the bolts. And once we were done with that activity we had to make the bulbs go in a pattern of where the bulbs turned one on and one off.

Fun neat-est activity

The activity that was the most neatest and fun was the one where we had several activities in the computer lab. I believe this one was the one because, we had different choices to pick from and they all had their personal excitements in different ways. As well as the activities were really easy to do well it went from easy to harder so it gave us a little bit of challenge.

What kind of applications or problems do you think you can solve using something on the Micro:bit?

I believe the kind of problems that I think I can use to solve on a Micro:Bit would be simply lighting some ones day up by inputting a code into the microbit to display a flashing heart.Furthermore the Micro:Bit can also be helpful in creating a night light which can even display vario.
